Kareena Kapoor has even taken out time for Amrita’s fitting sessions

Busy-as-a-bee Kareena Kapoor is taking out time from her packed schedule to be bridesmaid for her best friend Amrita Arora . And guess what the actress has decided to wear for the wedding day.

It’s a gown in romantic-feminine colour peach for the church wedding where Kareena will walk the aisle along with the lady in white, bride Amrita. Kareena is bridesmaid for Amu. Who says two actresses can never be friends? Bebo and Amu share a wonderful relation. And this is quite evident as both friends are on a shopping spree, visiting every designer to pick up best dresses for the coming occasion.

Bebo has even taken out time for Amrita’s fitting sessions. The charge of bride’s gown has been given to the ace designer Ashley Rebello . For the wedding outfit Ashley is drawing inspiration from Versace classic and simple gowns. The dress will have fabrics like silk and satin and veil has to be of lace, accentuated with diamonds and Swarovski crystals.

It’s heard that Bebo has decided on peach coloured gown after searching every nook and cranny of several A-league designer boutiques. It seems Bebo, the style icon, wants to keep everything exclusive.

Malaika Arora , Amrita’s sis will be maid of honour and her hubby Arbaaz Khan will play the best man for the bridegroom.

Amrita is getting married to Shakeel Ladhak. The couple will take marriage vows on 4th of March at Bandra Church. Mehendi and Sangeet is due on 5th to be hosted by Salman Khan ’s sister Alvira. Then on 6th March nikaah ceremony will be there followed by grand reception in the evening at Taj Lands End Hotel in Bandra.

Around 500 guests are expected apart from kith and kin of both the family sides and many Bollywood celebrities and industry people will grace the wedding reception.

Amrita Arora is likely to tie the knot with her beau Shakeel Ladak on March 2. Though the actress is keeping mum about her big day, sources close to both the families reveal that near and dear ones have been told to keep themselves free around that time. March 2 is also Amrita’s mother Joyce’s birthday. So it will be a double celebration for the family.

It is reliably learnt that a couple of weeks ago, Shakeel along with his parents and sister Shabana went on a holiday to Dubai. Amrita also accompanied them. Says a source, “Shakeel proposed to Amu at a fancy restaurant in Dubai and she accepted. Though no formal exchange of rings took place, it was as good as an engagement.”

About her marriage date, Amrita maintains, “When the time is right, I will talk about my wedding plans. I have nothing to hide. It will be the most memorable day of my life. I have never hidden my relationships and I will be more than happy to share it with everyone.”

The actress says, “But I won’t stop signing films after my marriage. I am currently doing Kambakht Ishq, UTV’s Seasons Greetings and a project with T-Series.” Adds the source, “Amu is extremely comfortable with the Ladak’s family. A while back at a party at Shakeel’s sister home, Amu was more comfortable than the other family members with the guests! Being an actress, everyone expected her to have starry airs but the guests were shocked to see Amu making everyone so comfortable and greeting one and all.”

Amu expressed a desire for a traditional church wedding the reason why Goa has been selected followed by a reception in Mumbai for friends and family. B-Town buzz is that Amrita’s best friend Kareena Kapoor asked her to postpone her marriage as she wants Amu to focus on her career. But Amrita points out, “It’s not true at all. Bebo’s been very encouraging about Shakeel and my relationship with him. She is my best friend and we are there for each other. There’s a strong bond we share and we support each other in everything.”

It is learnt that Bebo and Saif, too, get along with Shakeel very well. Adds the source, “Some time ago, Kareena and Saif were even invited for breakfast at Shakeel’s place!”
