Tyra Banks hits the red carpet at the 2009 BET Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday (June 28) in Los Angeles.

Her look was very androgynous, and it was cool.

Nearly natural make up and simply styled hair didn’t distract attention from her outfit and actually accentuated it.

The 35-year-old talk show host presented Lil’ Wayne with the award for Best Male Hip-Hop Artist. Tyra also awards LeBron James with the prize for Best Male Athlete.

The Destiny Child’s former sang her own version of “Ave Maria” as well as a cover of Sarah McLachlan’s hit “Angels” much to the delight of the audience.

The former Destiny’s Child star, Beyonce Knowles looked sparkles in Balmain on the red carpet at the 2009 BET Awards held at the Shrine Auditorium on Sunday (June 28) in Los Angeles.

The If I Were A Boy singer recently revealed that her feet are “throbbing” when she returns home from a night of hectic dance routines.

“When I come home and take them [shoes] off, I’m like, ‘Oh my God! I wish I could just chop my feet off!’ But while I’m dancing, I’m thinking of the choreography,” she told Self magazine.

“I don’t think about my feet until I’m trying to go to sleep and they’re throbbing.”

The 27-year-old songstress and rapper T.I. were top contenders for trophies, with a leading five nominations each. She is up for best R&B female, best actress and video of the year.

Alicia Keys Is The 2009 BET Humanitarian

Alicia Keys is not only an amazing singer-songwriter and actress, she is also an humanitarian with a big heart!

BET Reports: Keys joined with Keep A Child Alive (KCA), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing life-saving anti-retroviral treatment to children and their families with HIV/AIDS in Africa and the developing world. She has made multiple visits to Uganda, Kenya and South Africa to promote care for children with AIDS. Shortly after becoming involved with KCA, Keys was named ambassador and co-host and musical director of the annual Black Ball, a benefit to promote HIV/AIDS awareness and raise funds for the charity.

Keys’ charitable contributions are also felt on her home soil. She is a board member of Frum Tha Ground Up, a non-profit organization devoted to inspiring and motivating America’s youth. Keys is also involved with Teens in Motion, a grassroots organization that provides a safe environment for teens to excel in dance, singing, drama, spoken word and self-esteem workshops, located in the South Bronx.
